Dr. de los Reyes is a Professor of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering and Associate Faculty of Microbiology. He has published over 130 peer-reviewed papers (journals and conferences) on topics relating to water treatment, wastewater and sanitation, including papers on characterizing pit latrines in peri-urban areas, trash removal from pit latrines, and desludging fecal material. Dr. de los Reyes’s lab regularly collaborates with companies, universities, and government entities in Europe, Asia, and Sub-Saharan Africa. Dr. de los Reyes is a University Faculty Scholar and lead the Global WaSH Cluster.
